Year Long Insect Protection*

Insects are often thought of as pests.  Six percent of all insects are actually pests.  The rest are beneficial to the environment and your landscape.  Ladybugs are not just beautiful in appearance; they actually eat aphids that make yellow stippling marks on your Japanese Andromeda.

Protecting your Landscape from insects is not always spraying a pesticide to “cure” the problem at hand.  The best way to manage pest control in your garden is by monitoring for the insects during the correct time of the year. By monitoring you save money and help your plants and the environment around you.

The following is a month by month guide to protecting and preventing insects from taking over your landscape:

March to Early April Late June to Early July
Late March to Late April Early to Mid-July
Late April to Early May Mid to Late July
May Late July to Early August
Mid-May August
May to June August to September
Early June September to October
